One eSIM, three host countries
Install eSIM BFF once. Buy a United States package for the group games, add Mexico when you go to Mexico City or Guadalajara, add Canada for Toronto or Vancouver. Each package attaches to the same eSIM. Nothing to reinstall at the border.
How much data for a match day
- Maps + messaging + tickets: about 300 MB.
- Instagram stories and a video call home: 1–1.5 GB.
- Streaming the other match in the hotel: 2–3 GB.
- A 10 GB plan per country is the comfortable pick if you are moving cities.
Coverage in the host cities
US hosts sit on T-Mobile and AT&T — 5G in the stadium districts, LTE in the parks. Mexico City, Guadalajara and Monterrey are Telcel country. Toronto, Vancouver and the Canadian hosts are Rogers/Bell/Telus; downtown is 5G, the airports are LTE.
What to do before you fly
- Install on home Wi-Fi two nights before.
- Turn Data Roaming ON for the eSIM line and OFF for your home SIM.
- Download the FIFA app, your tickets and offline maps for each host city.
- If you are hopping Mexico ↔ US the same week, buy both packages before you leave home.
